About MUST Give Help Be Help MUST Services
Community Service History of Must MUST Newsroom

MUST Ministries is a faith-based organization which for 40 years has been dedicated to providing services to persons and families in crisis while maintaining their dignity. MUST is a place where one's faith can be put into action and where we can minister to the poor, the brokenhearted and those who are in crisis - in a place where "your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet." (Frederick Buechner)

Founded in 1971 and rooted in the Christian tradition, MUST addresses the basic needs of individuals, families, and children in the Marietta, Smyrna and Canton/Cherokee county communities. MUST brings people of many faiths together to respond to God's challenge to minister to others with compassion and love, without judgment of the beliefs, background or circumstances of those who serve or of those being served.

MISSION:

Serving our neighbors in need … transforming lives and communities in response to Christ's call. Vision to become Georgia's most respected Servant Leader - Restoring lives one person and one community at a time

Whom We Serve:

MUST serves both our neighbors whose most basic welfare is at risk, including those who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless, in select counties across Metro Atlanta and North Georgia; AND those neighbors who wish to offer time, talent, and physical assets to aid the needs of individuals and families in financial crisis.

Statement of Values:

Faith

We recognize the Christian faith as an integral part of the organization and a legitimate source of information, inspiration, and transformation, which provides guidance for our decisions and behavior.

Integrity

We will honor what we say as an organization and act accordingly, even courageously, regardless of who is looking.

Teamwork

We chose to be intentionally connected in our work together, believing we are strongest as a team, while embracing our diversity of individual perspectives.

Honesty

We will be transparent and thell the truth, while respecting the confidentiality of others.

TESTIMONIALS:

A MUST client says thank you

"I think so often we come in and we get assistance and we are blessed and nobody stops to say thank you to all the volunteers and to MUST Ministries and everybody who helps so many people everyday… I certainly appreciate what's being done there. I know that the Lord is going to turn things around here and bless and the first place that we will give back to will be MUST Ministries…

There is just so much love poured out upon the people…I know God has angels standing on the wall, and standing at the door watching what is going on in this ministry and He will reward you in ways you know not of, just greatly reward you.

…thank you for all that you've done and all that you do…I'm looking forward to God doing some awesome things, and I'm sure that MUST Ministries will be in the midst of that. When the blessings are being poured out, I believe they'll start at MUST Ministries."

Another success story

May God Bless You. I really appreciate all you have done to help me. I will never forget your kindness and prayers for me.

You helped me get back on my feet again. The resume that you helped me "fix-up" actually worked and on last Thursday I was able to get a good job. … I feel terrific. I have a job as a database engineer with Microsoft. My wife and family have returned to me. God has truly blessed me. I have orientation tomorrow and start work on Wednesday.

Just one week ago I was broke, homeless, and lonely. I must admit I was just about to give up hope. Today is a new day and all of my prayers have been answered. I am a witness; there is nothing that God can't do!
